Renee is a rising Junior at Santa Clara University, majoring in Engineering Physics with an emphasis in Computer Science and Engineering and a minor in Sustainability. Her work in the DMQIS group is focused on the MEMS device which uses LED light to calibrate dark matter detectors and qubits at cryogenic temperatures. In addition to determining the optimal optical path from the LED light at room temperature all the way down to the device at 10 mK with minimal losses, she also ran tests to figure out the spot size at 10 mK.
